Nigerian Afrobeats artist Asake has been making significant strides in the global music scene. In August 2023, he achieved a remarkable milestone by selling out the O2 Arena in London, making a memorable entrance by arriving in a helicopter. The following month, Asake became the first African artist to headline and sell out a concert at New York City’s Barclays Center, showcasing the growing international appeal of Afrobeats.

In recognition of his contributions to African music, Asake won the Best African Artist award at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in May. He also received accolades at the Headies 2023, where he was honored alongside other prominent Nigerian artists such as Burna Boy and Rema.
