Australian singer-songwriter Sia has filed for divorce from her husband, Dan Bernad, after two years of marriage. The 49-year-old artist, known for hits like “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart,” cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation. The couple officially separated on March 18, 2025, with Sia filing the divorce petition the following day in Los Angeles Superior Court.

In a surprising revelation, the divorce documents disclosed that Sia and Bernad had quietly welcomed a son, Somersault Wonder Bernad, on March 27, 2024. This marks Sia’s third child, as she had previously adopted two teenage boys in 2019.

Sia is seeking legal and physical custody of Somersault but is open to granting visitation rights to Bernad. She has also requested that no spousal support be awarded to either party.

The couple’s relationship became public in December 2022, and they held a private wedding ceremony in Portofino, Italy, in May 2023.

This marks Sia’s second marriage; she was previously married to documentary filmmaker Erik Anders Lang, with their union ending in divorce in 2016.

As of now, neither Sia nor Bernad has publicly commented on their separation.
